SPEND VS. SAVE: DARK BLUE EYESHADOWS

For today's edition of Spend vs. Save, let's talk about dark blue eyeshadows.

MAC EYESHADOW IN CONTRAST

ELIANTO EYESHADOW IN NAVY BLUE

dark blue eyeshadows are good in creating smokey eye looks. It's almost black but the hint of blue is visible. The color is nice and adds a modern and sultry dimension to eyes when used.

I have two dark blue eyeshadows. Elianto in Navy Blue and MAC eyeshadow in Contrast.

MAC: Cost's 800php; Contrast is a blue shade with a violet undertone with flecks of silver glimmer. The color is nice, kinda' ultraviolet- ish if I were to describe it. It's great for creating smokey eye effects and lining the lower lash line. The coverage lasts long, has great color pay- off. The consistency has always been great. It's creamy and sticks to your eyes easily once applied.

ELIANTO: Costs 119php; Their Navy Blue eyeshadow is the best eyeshadow of all the eyeshadows by Elianto. It's a semi- matte dark blue eyeshadow with particles of silver flecks. The color pay- off is good, coverage relatively lasts long and the consistency is good, almost (around 40%) similar to the buttery feel of the MAC eyeshadows.

APPLIED TWO SWIPES OF POWDER PER PRODUCT

WIPED THE PRODUCT ONCE WITH A TISSUE

THE VERDICT: If you want to buy a Dark blue eyeshadow for your collection but you're on a budget, try Elianto. The quality is good enough for your 200 bucks! MAC will always be a favorite but as of the moment, it's a pain in the butt to shell out money for your luxuries but some habits are just hard to let go. But the global crisis cannot stop us from purchasing. As a compromise, we should save and make the most out of our money. There will be always alternatives to any product but be sure to find the better alternative among the rest.

IN THIS ISSUE, I SUGGEST YOU: SAVE
