what do you get when a cool swedish denim label and a cool french design label collaborate?
areallyfuckingcoolparty.
because you can't hide it, there's a little bit in all of us that wishes we had (delete where applicable) french/swedish heritage.
monday night in paris, saw the party celebrating the merging of genius' ACNE and Lanvin with fashion royalty like Carine, a sprinkling of hipsters and other, like-totally-cool journos and people. or as style.com simply put it "Parisian A-listers, models in lashes of Lanvin pearls, and a transvestite or two."
and hey, everyone must have been in a right old jolly mood because even rachel zoe managed to get in through the door. round of applause everybody for anna w's bff!
sounds like the collection itself has been injected with the alber elbaz look with some tuxedos and raincoats amongst the 28 pieces. although we'll have to wait until november to see the stock in store, the collection was unveiled a couple of weeks ago and a few looks can be seen below. the simplicity of the line is a little reminiscent of Cos, in my view, which has a similar appeal age wise.
